Clifton Crop - Sweater Knitting Pattern
The Clifton is a cropped sweater knitted in one piece from the top down, with alternating sections of solid stockinette, striping, and simple stranded colorwork.
The hemline is split with rounded corners for a unique, modern design.
This pattern is written for sizes XS-5XL with optional modifications for additional sweater body length.
The gauge after blocking is:
Stockinette: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4” square, on size US 6 needles
Colorwork: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4” square, on size US 6 needles
Ribbing: 24 sts and 36 rows = 4”, on size US 5 needles
The suggested yarn for this pattern is Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia Organic Merino, which is heathered for added texture in the final fabric. Three different colors are used to create the pattern. High contrast colors produce the best results! You will need 2-5 skeins for the main color, and 1-3 skeins for each contrast color, depending on the size of your desired sweater.
